In GA the legislator passed a horrendous anti immigrant bill, money goes where its treated best so does labor so they left the state just before farm picking season. The mega farmers raised holey hell and the prison system offered the inmates a chance to earn $$ by picking what ever it was. They lasted a few days and said F-that I'll sit in my jail cell vs pick what ever. Thats how bad these jobs are that immigrants will do. No one else will work on a hot as heck roof putting shingles on, pick what ever in some field. We are brain washed by idiots on Fox and politicians who are self serving totally wrong things.

You seem to be using undocumented migrants to work for you full-time which is illegal. I don’t watch Fox, but do have some sympathy for using migrants for seasonal work. In any case saying “ we are a nation of immigrants” is emotion not logic. Back when we started there were no welfare/support programs for immigrants and 50% or more went back home to their country of origin given how tough the conditions were. Now its mostly economics that bring people. Those are facts, not emotion.
Also the issues around the 10+ million undocumented migrants that have flooded the US during the Biden administration is the main worry here, not legal immigration. We should not conflate them.

I heard someone point that immigration (legal and illegal) also creates more demand for goods. The immigrants are also spenders. Whether they take jobs or not, they need a place to live, food to eat, and cars to drive. What do you make of this equation? Is immigration at the end of the date a zero sum game that doesn't really affect the economy this way or that? Would love to hear your thoughts JD and TG!
