Speaking of Gold Standards, this podcast should be set as the gold standard on how to disagree with someone. There is no disrupting the opposing view or cancelling the opposing view. Have your say then listen to the other side. Everyone learns. Thank you gents, for the intelligent display of dialog.
Re the "$7.50 premium burger" (versus the $5.50 Big Mac at McDonalds) well in Europe the Five Guys burger is now like Euro 11, fries ~ 5 Euros and the fountain soda is ~4.5 Euros IIRC. Ate at one in Italy (Florence Train Station and in Milan) and think by bill was over 20 Euros for a meal.
Similar pricing in London if not slightly more expensive (think a meal was around 17 pounds for a single cheeseburger, fries and a Coke).
Also ate at Shake Shack in London (in Canary Wharf) which was around 10 pounds for the burger alone (a few months ago).
BTW there's a Steak 'n Shake in Madrid but haven't eaten there in a couple years so don't know the pricing :)
