I have a terrible pissing story you guys might enjoy.
It's the Friday night before Christmas, known as Black Friday in the medical and catering trade for the dark insanity that goes on. I'm in a country pub for my brother's 60th birthday.
9pm and I've had two pints of Timothy Taylor's Landlord. I go to the bog and nothing happens.
I spend another couple of hours at the party paying frequent but unrewarded trips to the bog, by now I am attracting attention and decide to go home; thinking maybe I can relax there and pee.
1am, now in extreme discomfort I phone the emergency services. who tell me to get myself to the walk-in centre, It's black Friday and I'm 20 miles from the nearest hospital.
2am, I get to the hospital having waited an hour for a cab. The walk in centre is rammed. After 20 minutes I jump the queue and beg a doctor to do something. It is now 5 hours since I first really needed to pee. The doctor makes 5 attempts to catheterise me and fails. He calls an ambulance to take me to A & E.
4am, I arrive at A & E, it is full of drunks and the walking wounded who all want to talk. By now I am in such extremis that I don't think I'm making much sense.
5-6am, I get triaged and a series of nurses and doctors try to catheterise me. All fail and they tell me that I will have to wait for the consultant who arrives at 7am.
I am put in a curtained cubicle to wait. The pain is now so acute I think that either my bladder is going to burst or I will die, and soon.
7am, the consultant arrives, he quickly decides on a plan of action. I'm still in my cord suit with my pants half down. He produces a spiked instrument with a tap and a length of hose on it. He offers me a local anaesthetic, I tell him to get it over with.
he drives the spike through the wall of my lower abdomen straight into my bladder.
It is at this point that he, the duty doctor and two nurses realise that they have overlooked one vital step. They did not clamp off the other end of the hose. It is fairly small bore. The release of 10 hours of pent up bladder pressure is such that it thrashes around treating all, including me and my corduroy pants to an uncalled for and unwanted golden shower.
So that is my peeing my pants story. The next part is really harrowing but I'll spare you that.
I do not understand how everyone talking about cost of DeepSeek if they actually said that 6m does mlt include a lot of of other expenses. Plus no one trust Chinees GDP but trust Chinese company from HF. Also, why everyone co concentrated on AI demand for energy and forgetting about manufacturing Trump wants to offshore. He already wants to terrif all chips that are not produced in US. Plus higher adoption of AI means more companies can afford to use it which will lead to increase demand anyway. Not talking about the definition of AI and what it suppose to do.
Loving the Dual Sub and the podcast - Entertaining and Informative!
Followed both of you on and off for years now but glad to now be a regular podcast listener and reader of the Navigator and the Dirt Nap. Thanks Gents.
This Clemson Tiger appreciates the Dabo reference. Will be checking out both motivational speakers.
Tony, check out the Shane Gillis standups, ‘Beautiful Dogs’ on Netflix and ‘Live from Austin’ on YouTube. He’s also on Joe Rogan every few months for “Protect Our Parks”: four comedians talking smack, doing beer bongs & smoking cigars for 3+ hours. Great for long drives.
hey Tony, would you consider doing a couple month trial of your "Morning Navigator" at a discounted price, like what Jared did late last yr with the "Daily DirtNap"?
You guys need to do a Friday podcast after a few drinks or smokes.... Just once. It would be hilarious.
Don’t tempt me.
